Silma Telematic
(1965)
The Silma Telematic was the first Silma projector with 800ft/240m reel capacity. Its first adverts appeared by the end of 1964. However, distribution most likely started in 1965 (see article further below). The telematic was one of the first Silma super 8 projectors. It was the first Silma projector with remote control.
Silma Telematic standard 8
Below are two Telematic super 8 projectors. The first version had an 'Super' sticker on the body. The later version had a '8 Super' emblem on the lamphouse. The carrying handle is also different.

Again and again you will be surprised about the different versions of Silma projector models. Below is a Silma de Luxe Synchro. Apart from the emblems it is similar to the Telematic Super 8.
And yet another one...a Ferrania 3M 5010 Zoom. So much for corporate identity! Oddly enough it lacks the buttons on the control panel. Possibly it can only be operated with a remote control like the one that was supplied with the Silma Telematic.
